General Labourer – Plymouth
Location: Plymouth
Duration: Long-term work
Basic Rate: £15.36 per hour
Overtime 1: £23.04 per hour
Overtime 2: £30.72 per hour
We are currently looking for experienced General Labourers to join a major long-term construction project in Plymouth.
Duties will include:
· Carrying out general labouring duties across the site
· Assisting trades and site teams as required
· Moving and handling materials around site
· Keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe
· Assisting with deliveries and distribution of materials
· Supporting general construction and site activities
· Using basic hand tools where required
· Following site instructions, RAMS and safe working procedures
· Maintaining high standards of health and safety at all times
Competencies / Requirements:
· CSCS Green Labourer Card
· Safety Critical Medical
· Previous experience working on construction or civil engineering sites preferred
· Good understanding of site health and safety
· Physically capable of carrying out general labouring duties
· Reliable with a good attitude to site work
· Ability to work effectively as part of a busy site team
· Must be able to meet the project's BPSS security clearance requirements
Security Clearance Requirements
Due to the security-sensitive nature of the project, all successful applicants will be required to complete BPSS security clearance before starting on site.
Applicants must be able to provide the required documentation and information to successfully complete the vetting process, including proof of identity, right to work and employment/history checks.
Due to the project’s security requirements, applicants must meet the required nationality eligibility criteria, including being a national of a NATO member country where applicable.
All offers and start dates will be subject to successful completion of the required security vetting and clearance process.
This is a long-term opportunity on a major infrastructure project in Plymouth, with excellent overtime rates available.
