My client, a main joint venture on HS2, is seeking a GIS Integration Manager to be based out of Birmingham. This is a long term freelance role and is to start as soon as possible.
Description of Activities to be undertaken:
- Be familiar with ESRI products - ArcGIS Enterprise / ArcGIS Desktop / ArcGis Pro
- Led the implementation of the ArcGIS Enterprise system.
- Define workflows.
- System setup.
- Leading and managing the GIS Team, including Up-Skilling .
- Manage subcontractor’s deliverables and ensure they are keeping the deadlines
- Keep constant contact with the Client
- Understanding and following mapping standards and schemas.
- Preparation of GIS data, including analysis support.
- Creation of geographic maps using available datasets.
- Draw, digitize map features from hard copy source material.
- Edit and create new feature classes within the map environment.
- Import and convert CAD features into GIS environment.
- Development and support of geographic databases.
- Perform Quality Assurance checks according to the provided standards.
- Experience on models 2d and 3d visualisations.
- Proficiency in Python would be desirable
- Liaising with Project Managers and manage geospatial data according to the requirements
- Assisting and supporting all company employees with GIS & CAD related issues
- Good presentation and communication skills
Minimum Qualifications Needed for Role:
Education:
Associate's Degree or equivalent coursework from an accredited school in GIS, Geography or a related field required.
Experience:
Min 8 years’ experience working with GIS. Experience using ESRI.
Familiarity with ArcGIS Enterprise / ArcGIS Desktop / ArcGis Pro specifically.
Knowledge of Python.
Experience in Geographic and Spatial methodologies preferred
