My client is one of the Joint Ventures for HS2 and they are currently looking for a GIS Manager to join their team.
Purpose of the Job:
The role will be to support the Information Technology and Digital Integration team in delivering its service to the AWH Package.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Undertake data management, update and conversion tasks within our ArcGIS for Server infrastructure.
- Ensure that GIS deliverables by the JV and its subcontractors and prepared and submitted in accordance with strict HS2 Technical Standards.
- Working closely with the different GIS end users, engineers and project teams to identify problems and provide input.
- Looking for innovative ways to deploy GIS and improve efficient working wherever could be beneficial.
- Identifying and implementing the most appropriate and efficient geospatial workflows, processes and assurance.
- ArcView experience
- Candidate should have understanding and some experience of historic environment data, record databases, geophysical survey data, Lidar data and point clouds, and photogrammetry (SFM) data and 3D modelling would be beneficial.
Minimum Qualifications Needed for Role
- Associate's Degree or equivalent coursework from an accredited school in GIS, Geography or a related field required.
- Min 8 years' experience working with GIS. Experience using ESRI.
- Familiarity with ArcGIS Enterprise/ArcGIS Desktop0/ArcGis Pro specifically.
- Knowledge of Python.
- Experience in Geographic and Spatial methodologies preferred.
