Our Trades & Labour Division have secured a number of key Infrastructure contracts across the UK, and we are currently looking for a Handsignaller / Blockroadman.
This is for an HS2 site in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire. It will be very long-term work for the right candidate.
This is a great opportunity to get involved with the biggest project in the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Directing the movement of vehicles on site
- Recommending and laying out safe on-site traffic systems
- Providing clear, correct, and safe directions to plant operators
- Communicating with drivers and plant operators verbally by radio and/or via industry standard hand signals
- Evaluating risks (e.g., blind spots) and effectively managing these risks
- Managing traffic to avoid excessive queuing
- Minimising potential risks to personnel and equipment
- Observing the highest levels of health and safety at all times
Essential:
- Network Rail Sentinel Track Safety Card
- Good communication skills
- Hard working
