Health & Safety Advisor


Position Purpose: To provide the team with advice and support in maintaining HSEQ compliance and the achievement of the Civil business’s HSEQ goals and objectives, under the guidance of the HSEQ Manager.

Accountabilities: Support the implementation of the company’s HSEQ policies and procedures.  Provide staff with advice on the use of the company’s HSEQ management system. Support staff in the appropriate use of HSEQ systems, processes and documentation to meet company requirements. Facilitate, and provide support for, the implementation of new/revised HSEQ systems, processes and documentation. Support the implementation of document control systems and procedures for the company . Review subcontractor management systems and processes, and report on compliance with HSEQ management system requirements. Contribute to project and site risk assessment, in collaboration with the Project Manager and Site Manager. Continual Improvement. Under the direction of the HSEQ Manager, collate and analyse HSEQ accident/incident investigation, monitoring and audit data to identify opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications: Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety. • Higher education HSEQ qualification • Diploma of Environmental Monitoring and Technology • Diploma of Quality Auditing (Lead Auditor HSEQ). Experience as an HSEQ Advisor for a civils construction company. Experience in Engineering/Project Management/Civil Construction environment.
