An opportunity exists for a Senior Highways Engineer, within a consulting environment, to lead and manage prospective projects for Highway England and local authorities. Your ability to understand the scope of works and transform it into a successful project is sought after. Freelance or perm candidates will be considered.
Duties will include –
- Design coordination and input including scope, programs and responsibility matrices.
- Constant Client interaction including the improvement of client relationships.
- Identifying and applying most cost-effective design and construction methodologies
- Recommend and implement preconstruction innovative solutions.
Requirements for this opportunity include –
- Chartered Civil Engineer or similar with extensive highways design experience at a senior level within the UK.
- Membership to ICE, CIHT, IHE, RGS and CIWEM
- Exceptional knowledge and experience in the design of highways improvement, renewal and maintenance projects
- Experienced in developing and compiling contract documentation.
- Excellent Client liaison skills
- Previous recent Consulting Engineering experience at a similar level
