Job Overview:
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with early career experience in surveying to grow their skills and develop professionally. As a Junior Land Surveyor, you will assist senior surveyors in conducting site surveys, collecting data, and producing accurate maps and reports. You will gain valuable hands-on experience working on a wide range of exciting projects, from land development to large-scale infrastructure works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with fieldwork to conduct land, boundary, topographic, and construction surveys.
- Use GPS, total stations, and other surveying instruments to collect accurate data.
- Assist in setting out and leveling for construction projects.
- Process survey data and prepare detailed drawings, maps, and reports using CAD software.
- Support senior surveyors with the preparation of as-built surveys and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Ensure that surveying equipment is maintained and calibrated for accuracy.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines on-site and ensure best practices are followed.
Key Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications in Land Surveying, Geomatics, or Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- Familiarity with surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS, and leveling instruments.
- Basic knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and data processing tools.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Willingness to travel to various sites and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- A valid driver’s license is preferred.
