This is a great opportunity for a materials technician to join a twelve month plus project for a very well-known and reputable Construction company.
If you are a recent civils / construction graduate looking to gain work experience and broaden their knowledge in the recycled materials sector. Or experienced Materials Technicians looking for their career move.
The role will be suited to those with a Degree level qualification or equivalent experience in a construction engineering, civils or related discipline looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity in a forward-thinking company. You will have academic knowledge and work experience with the testing Soils, concrete and asphalt. Any working experience of materials testing within construction will be advantageous, but all relevant backgrounds will be considered.
Your role will be laboratory based on site. The role will involve a broad spectrum of responsibilities including preparation of test equipment, execution of materials testing, generation of reports and effective detailed feedback to Head of Operations. Your role will be to promote the use of recycled materials in ready- mixed concrete and existing products.
The Materials Technician role:
Execute materials tests.
Trial and test different applications for recycled materials within the business.
Generate detailed reports.
Communicate results to colleagues, management and provide effective feedback.
Primarily Lab based with some on site work.
Ideally holds a relevant Degree (or equivalent) in Construction/ Civils Engineering.
Experience in the testing of concrete materials, in particular Ready-mix concrete.
Experienced Materials Technicians without a Degree are also welcome to apply.
