An opportunity exist for a freelance Lab Technician/Material Technician with extensive experience in the testing and recording of soils and concrete in accordance to the British specifications, on a major concrete and earthworks recycling project in Scotland.
Duties will include
- Conducting the testing of both soils and concrete in accordance with specifications
- Produce reports on the suitability of materials (insitu and recycled)
- Produce test result reports
- Manage the laboratory equipment
The requirements for this post include –
- Preferably a diploma or degree in Construction Materials or Civil Engineering
- Notable lab experience for civil engineering projects.
- Extensive knowledge of soils and concrete testing specs and procedures (BS5930:1999 +A2:2010 and CIRIA C574)
- Proven ability to write material reports
- CSCS and safety certs
