The Job starts at one end of the High Street and works its way through to the other end of the High Street , our client will be installing new drainage, cleaning existing, replacing kerbs, replacing damaged footpaths and re surfacing , plus many more activities.
The working week will be Monday –Sunday . Monday till Saturday 7am – 12pm split shifts, 7am – 4pm and 4pm – 12pm Sunday will be a maintenance day, ensuring all fencing is in order things like that.
Because of the importance of this scheme we will be looking for 2 individuals, one working from 7 am – 4pm and one working from 4pm – 12pm
Their roles will be working on the public side of the fence, offering assistance to the general public , whether it be giving information or advise or even helping with shopping if required !!, generally anything that helps people who are affected by this work, whilst doing this the individuals must make a note of everything they do by way of physical help so that it can be passed to Highways England at the end of the scheme to show that we have tried our very best to limit the impact the scheme has on the shop keepers, residents and visitors to Towcester high street.
We are also required to monitor noise and vibration along the High Street next to where we are working using handheld devices and recording the findings.
The 2 candidates ideally need to be local to the area and have a good understanding of the vehicle routes ( although this information will be given to you) You will need to hold a CSCS card as a minimum be .
The Scheme is for 18 weeks with the possibility of continuation onto another local scheme for the right candidates.
