I have a requirement for a Lighting & Electrical Supervisor / Deputy AP to join a Tier 1 Main Highways Contractor on a Smart Motorway project in Hampshire. The project is programmed for completion in late 2020 and this opportunity will be for the whole duration of the works.
Minimum Qualifications/Competency
- Previous experience in highways lighting, comms power network and motorway technology infrastructure desirable.
- 2391/2392 certificate – Inspection, Testing and Commissioning
- 18th addition IEE regulations
- HESA – 210 (including G39) working in the vicinity of DNO equipment
- HESA – 214 Safe isolation procedures
- HV/LV Senior Authorised Person (for senior appointed person role)
- HV/LV Authorised person (for deputy appointed person Role
- Experience in tracing and identifying buried services including CAT4+
- SSSTS or SMSTS
Key areas of control
- Removal of existing Street Lighting and associated redundant cables
- Installation of new lighting and associated cables and connections
- Disconnection of existing comms power feeds
- Installation of new comms power feeds
- Coordination of DNO connections and wayleaves
- Coordination of BS7671 Certificates (testing and termination of new cables)
- Service removals including identification, intrusive testing and cutting of uncharted cables, permit system for service removal.
