A joint-venture on a major infrastructure project are searching for an experienced Logistics Manager to join their team in a permanent basis.
This position requires a disciplined professional who will be able to work from home but also attend and visit site meetings with senior management when needed.
As a Logistics Manager, you will have a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the project and ensure that all aspects of the supply chain are managed promptly.
Some of your duties will include:
- Plan site set up to ensure materials and plant can be move around site efficiently
- Overall responsibility for the logistics team
- Plan internal and external logistics routes
- Manage lay down and offloading points
- Create a schedule of logistics meetings
- Understanding procurement arrangements
- Control materials in and out of site
- Record keeping and maintaining KPI's
About you:
- Previous experience as a logistics manager on a busy construction site
- Able to commute to and from site when needed
- Strong communication skills
- Good negotiation ability
