An opportunity exists for a Managing Quantity Surveyor, who is a British National, on a Ministry of Defence project. Previous experience managing the commercial team for a Tier one Civil engineering contractor on, preferably a large multidisciplinary project, is advantageous.
Responsibilities include -
- Lead the commercial management of major project work packages.
- Manage and develop commercial teams.
- Oversee cost reporting, forecasting and change management.
- Lead subcontract procurement, administration and final account negotiations.
- Manage compensation events and contractual correspondence.
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
- Ensure commercial procedures and governance are followed throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements for this post include -
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
- Extensive experience as a Managing Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Lead within civil engineering.
- Strong NEC contract knowledge.
- Previous experience on marine, offshore, port, harbour, waterfront, offshore piling or heavy concrete projects.
- Experience working for a major civil engineering contractor.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- British National.
- MOD, defence or secure infrastructure experience.
- Experience delivering high-value marine infrastructure projects.
