An excellent long-term opportunity within IR 35 exists for an experienced Mechanical Construction Engineer to manage and coordinate all elements of mechanical plant and equipment installation.
Duties Include -
- To manage and successfully deliver the site wide construction installation of the Mechanical Plant and Equipment (P&E), testing and pre-commissioning activities
- Processing isometrics and drawings in accordance with project requirements
- Manage customer and stakeholder relationships
- Liaise with discipline design leads, procurement and other discipline managers to ensure design documents, material & equipment are handed to construction in a timely manner to meet the programme dates
- Support the discipline field engineer’s construction effort
- Approve the discipline sections in the Construction ITP’s, RAMS and Lifting Plans
Requirements for this post include -
- IOSH Managing Safety
- Managerial or technical qualification – HNC or above
- 7 years’ experience of fulfilling a mechanical engineering role on construction projects
- Previous experience of project delivery on a Nuclear licensed site
- Experience on Sellafield site preferable
- Experience managing subcontractors
- Multi discipline awareness
- Ability to obtain BPSS is essential
