Carmichael are recruiting for an experienced MEICA Engineer, with an electrical bias, for a tier one contractor. 

Your experience of water process Engineering projects, and track record of successfully managing the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) aspects of complex multi-disciplinary process projects is highly sought after.

 

Duties will include - 

  • Liaise with Quantity Surveyors to issue enquiry packs
  • Manage supply chain tender queries
  • Arrange supply chain site visits during the tender phase
  • Complete commercial and technical bid analysis of electrical tender returns
  • Propose preferred supplier to Project Manager and Quantity Surveyors
  • Liaise with Project Manager and Quantity Surveyors to issue NEC contract documentation
  • Critical progress milestones are to be identified and included in all orders or subcontracts
  • Production and management of Expediting Plan to ensure timely delivery of electrical elements of projects to the required standard and quality
  • Manage Electrical Programme and provide monthly updates to project planners
  • Manage Electrical Costs and provide monthly updates to Project Manager and Quantity Surveyors
  • Ensure supply chain issue design documents for approval are issued in line with Clause 31 programme
  • Review and accept supply chain design documentation
  • Timely production of regular reports to senior managers
  • Building and maintaining relationships with service delivery electrical maintenance technicians and Senior Authorised Persons within the Client organisation
  • Providing reports and other briefings to service delivery on the electrical aspects of projects
  • Liaison with the STW management team within both Asset Creation and Service Delivery
  • Review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, FDS documents, P&I documents and instigate design change as and when necessary
  • Ability to read and analyse project programmes (Primavera P6) and other key schedule documentation
  • Provide subcontract management support during the scheme close out phase
  • Coordinate, review and monitor design deliverables such as Schedules, Specifications & Drawings and procurement deliverables
  • Assist in the review of design deliverables, including FDS, equipment and instrument lists, P&IDs, control philosophy and telemetry requirements

 

Requirements for this posiiton - 

  • HND/Degree Electrical Engineering
  • Member of IET
  • Chartership / working towards chartership would be beneficial
  • Track record of successfully managing the EPC aspects of complex multi-disciplinary process projects.
  • Extensive experience with a main contractor, working on Water Process Engineering projects
  • Knowledge and experience of 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
