My Client is looking for a IT MEP Package Manager to work on their station upgrade project in Central London for the next 6 months. 

Project Description: The works include the construction of new adits, fit out of the new station entrance box which includes new lifts, escalators, gate line and ticket machines, new services and associated structures.

The role:

  • Manage the integration activities of the MEP Subcontractor, as well as the IT Subcontractor for the upgrading and modification of the station management system and the CCTV related Graphic user Interface
  • Have sufficient understanding of communication and information systems such as CCTV, Public Address Systems, Intercom, Alarm Systems, Scada, Fire Alarm Systems, etc.
  • Familiarize with all interface schematics available for various systems to understand the connection and interface requirements as set out in the contract and in design documentation
  • Understand the requirements of reconfiguring existing System Management Software to integrate additional system components for monitoring and subsequent data transfer, including cause and action implications
  • Monitor the progress of required software changes to be provided by the IT Subcontractor.
  • Monitor the required system upgrades for various communication systems
  • Supervise and perform quality control related to interfacing new data cables with existing cable installation and through testing of cables (Fiber Optics and Copper Connections)
  • Supervise all over and back testing between systems based on required cause and action requirement between head ends and systems for integration
  • Liaise with the Package Manager for MEP works in terms of readiness of systems for integration
  • Manage all necessary coordination and communication with the Client (LUL) with regards to access, inspections, testing, third party participation, etc.
  • Manage all necessary documentation, preparation of O&M Manuals, test & inspection certificates in coordination with Document control
  • Responsible for the issuing of all relevant ITP’s, O&M’s, certification of completed works for the Maid documentation submission to the client.
  • Responsible to ensure any snags or defects indicated during the handover process are closed out to the benefit of the project within the stipulated timeframe.
