Job Title: Monitoring Surveyor

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Monitoring Surveyor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring changes in structure, and providing critical data analysis to ensure the integrity and safety of various projects. You will work on a diverse range of projects, including large-scale construction infrastructure rail projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform precise monitoring surveys on buildings, structures, and land to assess movement and deformation.
  • Utilise advanced surveying equipment, such as total stations, GPS, laser scanners, and other monitoring technologies.
  • Analyse data to identify potential risks and provide detailed reports with recommendations.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to provide accurate measurements and data for decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all survey processes.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and monitor data trends over time.
  • Assist in setting up monitoring systems for new projects and calibrating equipment as needed.

Key Requirements:

  • A degree or diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar monitoring or surveying role, preferably in the construction or infrastructure sectors.
  • Proficiency in using surveying instruments (e.g., total stations, GPS, and levelling equipment).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex data.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Mainly Monday-Friday but there is opportunity for overtime on the weekend but not guaranteed.
  • Current position might need an occasional night shift, maybe 2 shift a month at most, but this might change depending on the progress of the project.

 

Desirable:

  • PTS is highly desirable, as the work involve Railways, but not essential. The client can look at candidates without, and get you trained afterwards.
  • Experience with software such as AutoCAD, GIS, or other surveying tools.
