We have an exciting opportunity for a NDT Consultant to join a Specialist Engineering Services department with a Leading Geospatial Consultancy in Europe.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer with knowledge of concrete and structural steel testing to work within the expeditious Geospatial industry. The role will appeal to practically minded problem solvers who can develop creative digital solutions for our client. 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Leading business development and sales for the Specialist Engineering Services department to support the delivery of a variety of technical inspections using a wide range of technologies (NDT, GPR, UAV, ROV, CCTV, Visual)
  • Lead technical consultant for specialist engineering challenges regarding non-destructive testing using a combination of technology and trained staff applying tried and tested processes.
  • Understanding and application of technology for undertaking inspections.
  • Working closely with operations to ensure alignment with client expectations.
  • Attending business development and sales meetings with existing and prospective clients.
  • Any other duties as required by the business.

 

Requirements

 

  • 5-10 years’ experience working on design, construction, or non-destructive testing of civil infrastructure (reinforced concrete frames, steel frames, bridge decks, buried structures, historic structures, etc.)
  • Degree in Civil Engineering (Level 6) - BSc in Civil Engineering or relevant qualification & level – or similar
  • Fundamental knowledge of
    • the principles of engineering structures (steel / RC); and/or
    • experience utilising NDT techniques; and/or
    • Surveying of structural defects (PI investigations)
  • Knowledge of detailed field and office non-destructive inspection techniques
  • Good writing skills and proficiency in the English language
  • The right to work in the UK.
  • Flexibility to travel nationwide as required by our clients.
  • Possess a full clean driving license.
