A freelance opportunity exists for a collaborative Highways IQVT/NEC Supervisor to form part of the IQVT team on a major infrastructure project. Your extensive continuous highway supervision experience specifically on Smart/Managed Motorways/major A Roads is sought after.
Your duties will include –
- Ensuring the works are constructed to the design and specifications and identifying problems
- Propose solutions and offer advise based on experience and within the contract requirements to ensure the smooth delivery of the project
- Quality control including the testing and recording processes
- Produce risk register and record progress information
- Attend weekly risk meetings and progress meetings
- Build relationships with the site delivery teams and subcontractors
The requirements are as follows –
- Preferably a civil engineering qualification
- Extensive knowledge of the UK specifications especially NEC3
- Extensive roads and highways experience for a tier one contractor
- Previously a member of a tier one’s IQV team
- Preferably a member of ICWCI
- Good verbal and written English skills
- A collaborative, strict but fair attitude
