NEC Supervisor/Inspector - Highways
A freelance opportunity exists for a Highways NEC Supervisor/Inspector to form part of the IQV team on a smart motorway project. Your extensive continuous highway supervision experience specifically on Smart/Managed Motorways is sought after. Extensive knowledge on the Constructability of a project as well as a keen eye for flagging mistakes is key.
Your duties will include –
- Ensuring the works are constructed to the design and specifications and identifying problems
- Propose solutions and offer advise based on experience and within the contract requirements
- Quality control including the testing and recording of materials
- Produce risk register and record information
- Chair weekly risk meetings
- Attend Progress meeting and report on progress
- Build relationships with the client and the delivery team with the goal of delivering the project
The requirements are as follows –
- Preferably a civil engineering qualification
- Extensive knowledge of the UK specifications especially NEC3 procedures
- Extensive roads and Highways experience especially on Smart/Managed Motorway
- Preferably a member of ICWCI
- Good verbal and written English skills
- A collaborative strict but fair attitude
