A Major Smart Motorway Scheme in Southampton is recruiting for an office manager to work on the project for the next 2-3 years. This is a contract based position and is likely for the duration of the project. The role includes general administrative duties and providing support to the management team regarding meetings, recruitment, and general paperwork.

Duties Include:

  • Answering general queries by telephone, post or in person;
  • Printing and filing where necessary;
  • Maintaining records, filing systems and computer files;
  • Keeping track of important project documents;
  • Performing data entry tasks when project documents need updating;
  • Printing out and distributing project documents to managers, vendors and team members;
  • Converting paper documents to an electronic format & keeping files organised by project and documenting meetings;
  • Managing the ISO database and yearly audits alongside the Construction Director;
  • Working closely with the Site Manager’s and ordering of site equipment / welfare;

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of Microsoft Office package;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Experience working in the Construction Industry would prove beneficial;
  • Able to work on own initiative and as a team.
