Package Manager

Carmichael UK are seeking an experienced Package Manager to join a major infrastructure project in Bridgwater. This is a site-based role, managing key subcontractor packages with a combined value of over £5m.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing two subcontractor packages:

Earthworks (£4m)

RC Concrete Slabs (£1m)
Working on site Monday–Friday (with occasional weekend work depending on subcontractor activity), you will ensure packages are delivered safely, on time, and in line with NEC contract requirements.
Responsibilities

Manage subcontractor performance on site

Review and approve subcontractor works, including temporary works

Monitor programme progress and budget compliance

Raise and manage TQs, RFIs, EWNs and compensation events

Coordinate with the client and project team

Ensure all works are delivered in line with H&S standards
Requirements

SMSTS and CSCS (TWC and AP preferred but not essential)

Proven experience managing subcontractors on large projects

Background in earthworks and/or RC concrete delivery

Knowledge of NEC3 / NEC4 contracts essential

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skill
