Package Manager - Structural Steel / Station Upgrade

Carmichael are recruiting an experienced Package Manager for one of the largest rail infrastructure projects in Europe;

We are keen to hear from you if you have main contractor experience in Structural Steel and Retained Facade Jacking. This project is expected to last another 4-6 months and you will benefit from market competitive rates whilst working for one of the industry’s leading contractors.

 You will be working on a Major Station Upgrade project responsible for delivery of complex structural steel work and exterior facade installation.

As a Package Manager for this scope of works, your duties will include:

  • Assist the Sub Agent on the fit out works within the new shaft
  • Amending and writing method statements and risk assessments 
  • Managing the fit out sub contractors and site engineers
  • Carrying out quality inspections 
  • Liaison between the Sub Agent and client on site
  • Produce ITPs and as builds
  • Planning weekly and monthly programmes

  • Have previously worked within construction build sector / rail terminal
  • Previously worked as a package manager / section engineer (preferably with a main contractor)
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of quality assurance, writing method statements and risk assessments
  • Hold a construction related degree or HNC
  • Hold a valid CSCS Card
