Carmichael are recruiting for a market leading Geotechnical Specialist who are seeking a Contract Engineer to join the team.
Role and Responsibility
- Ensure that contracts teams comply with health & safety policies and initiatives.
- To promote a clear and concise method of works, enhanced by writing method, risk and commission reports to a high level of accuracy.
- To be involved, lead and direct the effective utilisation of staff, processes and technology from within the branch.
- To manage the on-going implementation of effective management controls and the on-going development of effective Quality, Environment, Health & Safety systems.
- To assist in the growth of the business from new and existing customers and markets.
- To develop harmonious and productive relationships with other UK branches/businesses leading to increased overall turnover and profits.

Required Experience and Qualifications
- BEng degree or an equivalent Civil Engineering/Geology related degree. Experience in geotechnical engineering.
- IT literate including MS Word and Excel.
- Hold Full UK Driving Licence.
- Good level of numeracy.
- CSCS Card Holder.
Desirable
- MEng degree or an equivalent Civil Engineering/Geology related degree. Incorporated member of professional institution.
- Experience with civil engineering / building contracts.
