Tier one Civil Engineering specialist Contractor seeks to employ an intermediate Planner capable of using first principles to build tender and delivery programmes for projects which include the construction of RC bridges, steel bridges, concrete repairs, bearing replacements etc.
Site Engineers competent in producing look ahead programmes and willing to pursue opportunities in the planning environment are also encouraged to apply.
Duties will include –
- Use site experience to establish the construction sequencing
- Create a base line program using first principles on P6
- Produce weekly and monthly updates using bespoke reports
- Assist the delivery team to implement the programme
- Work collaboratively with the delivery team, offer advice and feedback
- Produce “what if” scenarios to highlight early warnings and risks
Requirements for this post include
- Previous hands-on site construction experience within the civil engineering industry
- Preferably a civil engineering qualification
- A good understanding and competency of a planning program, preferably Primavera
- A good understanding of commercial and contractual issues including production rates
- Excellent written and communication skills
