Carmichael UK are seeking multiple planning engineers to join a Tier 1 contractor on the major project Devonport Docks in Plymouth.
The Planning Engineer will provide planning management and support to both the pre-contract and contract operations for the business and coordinate with bid and construction teams to manage and control the planning and programming aspects of bid proposals and multiple projects in progress.
Your duties will be:
- Support with tender and pricing activities with the development of anticipated project programme, critical path analysis, procurement scheduling, and resource planning
- Plan, programme and monitor design, procurement and construction activities
- Take responsibility for coordinating all third party constraints, design, procurement and construction information into an integrated programme
- Make project team members at all relevant levels aware of programme risks, key issues and solutions in a proactive manner
ABOUT YOU:
- Educated to professional level with a relevant degree or equivalent in a core business discipline
- Experience of planning on a variety of engineering projects Previous experience of civils projects Demonstrable systems/tools experience
- Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office suite
- Previous relevant costing experience
- Good working knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts or similar
This role is to start ASAP, however, due to the nature of the project, there is a security clearance process that can take a few weeks after offer, please bear this in mind.
