Carmichael are seeking a plant inspector to jon the team in various site locations
The key responsibilities of the Plant Inspector include the following:
- Ensure all operations conducted in line with the minimum H&S and plant minimum standards
- Ensure that plant meets the required minimum standards for safety and NRMM emissions
- Report any plant that arrives with support of the central hire desk and also when plant leaves site
- Recording of plant on a weekly basis, working with the central hire desk to ensure all plant is recorded on site
- Ensuring that all damage is captured in advance and recorded to the section(s)
- Liaise with mobile fitters when servicing is due, recording the daily check sheets and inspections sheets are correct and up to date
- Working closely with the plant owners to ensure that all records are current
About The Candidate
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Appropriate CPCS Qualification
- Clear customer focus
- Knowledge of plant / asset hire industry
- Clear drive and ambition
- Ability to effectively manage conflict and negotiation
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with people at all levels across the organisation and externally.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety Management
- Extensive knowledge of the Earthmoving industry
- Experience working on a construction site
- NVQ Qualification in Construction Plant or Machinery Maintenance (NVQ level 1) or equivalent preferred or if the suitable candidate can work towards
- Experience in conducting inspections in line with the plant safety standards
- Strong computer skills - focused on Excel / Word for recording usage and stock levels
