We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Controls Engineer/Manager to join our team and provide comprehensive support for civil engineering projects within our framework. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering project management, particularly with a focus on cost control, scheduling, risk management, and project reporting. This role requires an individual who thrives in dynamic environments and has the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high standard of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Cost Control: Develop and maintain project cost control procedures.
    • Scheduling & Planning: Develop and manage detailed project schedules, including baseline schedules, and ensure adherence to project timelines.
    • Risk Management: Identify project risks, including technical, schedule, and financial risks.
    • Reporting & Communication: Prepare periodic project performance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Contract & Procurement Support: Assist in the procurement process by reviewing contractor and vendor bids for compliance with the project’s cost and schedule requirements.
    • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to project controls standards, frameworks, and best practices.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in project controls, ideally within civil engineering or large infrastructure projects.
    • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore).
    • Strong understanding of project cost management, scheduling, and risk management principles.
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Knowledge of civil engineering terminology, construction processes, and industry standards.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, AACE, or similar) are highly desirable.

 

Desirable Skills:

    • Experience in frameworks and long-term civil engineering contracts.
    • Exposure to a variety of project types including roads, bridges, utilities, and other infrastructure works.
    • Knowledge of value engineering and change management processes.
