Our client a major civil engineering contractor requires a Project Engineer to join their Piling and Foundations team.
They deliver some of the UK's most exciting engineering projects, including HS2, Crossrail etc
To build on their success they are looking to recruit a Project Engineer to join there piling and foundations team in the south of England.
This role will focus on operational delivery and will require a strong background in both the technical aspects (including design and specification) and also the construction and plant associated with the range of piling and ground engineering solutions they offer including rotary bored piles and walls, CFA and mini piling.
You will:
Act as the Engineering lead ensuring design and quality compliance.
Act as overall lead for Health, Safety, Wellbeing and Environment on site(s)
Develop and maintain customer, engineer and stakeholder relationships.
Understand the design intent and requirements and ensure construction is proceeding in accordance with both. Maintaining records and dialogue with the designer regarding any variations.
Be responsible for day to day commercial management in collaboration with commercial team
Produce and maintain method statements, risk assessments and ITPs
Maintain close working relationship with our plant facility Bentley Works. Work collaboratively with BW and all other business functions to deliver ‘best for business’ outcomes
They're looking for:
Degree level qualification in a Civil Engineering subject or HND in Civil Engineering and vocational training in Engineering
Proven experience in an engineering role within piling disciplines such as rotary bored, CFA, Minipiling and associated works.
Solid understanding of Ground Engineering and Piling principles with detailed technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practice.
Health, safety & wellbeing and environmental management experience to current standards
CEng MICE (desirable)
