Description
We are looking for a motivated Project Engineer. Project Engineers with this client work on infrastructure projects in the rail sector.
As a project engineer you will schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.
You will work with our clients and other team members to plan, deliver, and hand over projects throughout Melbourne.
Responsibilities
In general, your responsibilities would include the following:
- Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects
- Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
- Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field
- Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status
- Assign responsibilities and mentor project team
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
- Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
Requirements
You will be a motivated and proactive engineer with the right combination of energy and a commitment to learning, bring your perspective and skills to diverse projects, and have an ambition to design your own career path.
You will also have:
- a degree in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 5 years experience delivering civil infrastructure projects
- an ability to work constructively in project teams to solve problems, drive a health and safety culture and produce quality outcomes
- strong interpersonal skills to liaise positively with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of innovative client solutions
- ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
- Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
