Position Overview:
We are looking for Project Engineers with experience in pavement, roading, and earthworks to contribute to the successful planning, execution, and completion of infrastructure projects in New Zealand. As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring project quality, efficiency, and safety while adhering to budgets and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets. Monitor and manage project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Pavement and Road Expertise: Utilise your in-depth knowledge of pavement design, construction techniques, and road engineering principles to contribute to project design and execution.
- Earthworks Management: Oversee earthworks activities, including excavation, grading, and compaction, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and safety standards.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes to ensure the highest standards of workmanship and project outcomes.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor project teams, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, to achieve project objectives and deliverables.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all projects comply with relevant New Zealand regulations, codes, and environmental standards.
- Safety First: Champion safety practices and create a culture of safety on project sites. Implement safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits.
- Client Relations: Foster positive relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders, providing regular project updates and addressing concerns or issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, HND or equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project engineering, with a focus on pavement, roads, and earthworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven leadership abilities and a commitment to teamwork.
