Job Title: Project Engineer - Heavy Civils

Location: Darwin, Northern Territory

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Project Engineer with a strong background in heavy civils. Ideally you will have worked on some bulk earthworks projects. Some Defence Sector experience would be even better, but this is not essential. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the technical success of projects, contributing to the growth and success of our company.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with project teams to assist in the planning, execution, and completion of heavy civils projects.
  2. Apply specialized knowledge in heavy civil engineering to support the technical aspects of projects.
  3. Assist in the development and review of project plans, specifications, and engineering drawings.
  4. Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project execution.
  5. Conduct regular site inspections, quality control checks, and ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations.
  6. Effectively communicate with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal team members.
  7. Provide technical guidance and support to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience as a Project Engineer with a focus on heavy civils projects.
  2. In-depth knowledge of heavy civil engineering principles and practices.
  3. Familiarity with construction regulations, permitting processes, and safety standards.
  4. Strong project management skills and proficiency in project management software.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to adapt to evolving project scopes and timelines.
