An immediate start, freelance opportunity, exists for a Project Manager with extensive Tier one/Principal Contractor experience on major rail projects managing the track, OLE and signalling aspects. Previous recent similar experience is sought after.
This opportunity falls inside IR35, the rate will depend on experience.
Duties include the following –
- Managing the delivery of the project whilst reporting to the Contracts Manager
- Attend Client and Consultant meetings and offer technical solutions based on experiences gained.
- Ensure the project is constructed efficiently and to the correct specifications.
- Procure materials and subcontractors.
- Ensure H&S is adhered to, and hand back documents are produced
- Monitor and report on progress and costs
- Manage all aspects of the track, OLE and signalling.
Requirements
- Previous similar experience working for a tier one contractor is desired.
- Excellent management and motivational skills
- Exceptional knowledge of railway specifications and standards
- Degree/Diploma in civil engineering or similar
- PTS advantageous
- CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid
