Project Manager

£300 - £350 day/umbrella

A Tier 1 Main Contractor client of ours who specialise in Construction, Civil Engineering and Facilities Management are currently seeking a Project Manager on a contract basis for 6 months in South Wales.

We are looking for a Project Manager who has an extensive and robust background in fit out and able to see through the whole lifecycle of a project.


Key Duties:

  • Design Management
  • Financial and Budget control
  • Liaison with clients, design teams and other professionals involved in the project to ensure all works are seamlessly integrated
  • Previous experience of managing personnel, sub-contractors, and suppliers
  • Developing and maintaining the overall project programme
  • Project reporting

Key Requirements:

  • Knowledge and awareness of Project Management principles, documents, and plans
  • Excellent skills in communication & presentation
  • Proficient at using Microsoft Office
  • Accountable for all project documentation and the project lifecycle, reporting progress against milestones, changes and budgets
  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in 'Fit-out' Project Management preferably in a Government environment however this is not essential
  • Running large- and small-scale projects
  • Have the ability and understanding to read technical drawings and implement requirements

Professional Qualifications Required:

  • Fire Marshal certificate
  • First Aid 3-day qualified
  • PASMA Card
  • CSCS skill card Holder
  • Minimum IOSH Health and Safety Certificate
  • Ideally NEBOSH Health and Safety Construction Certificate
  • Compiling reviewing pre-construction information packs
  • CDM Auditing duties
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Competent using Microsoft Project
  • SMSTS Qualified / Certificate
