A well-known Highways contractor is looking to bring a Project Manager on board to join the team in looking after a number of projects in the South West, based in Bristol.
Our client provides a comprehensive range of civil engineering, traffic management and environmental services with specialist expertise in highways maintenance. They have been successfully operating across the south of England for over 35 years
As a Project Manager, you will:
- Manage the project team and supply chain to deliver projects to time, cost, and quality targets and standards
- Assisting the Contracts Manager with bidding and the procurement of highways schemes in the South West.
- Report periodically to Senior Management on project progress, risks and issues using robust reporting systems to meet the needs of the business
- Provide direction, motivation and leadership to both internal staff and partner contractors engaged in providing technical support activities to the project
- Responsible for all safety, health, environment and quality matters including driving excellence and championing continuous improvement
You will have:
- Project Management experience within civils & highways projects
- An Engineering Degree and an SMSTS certificate
- The ability to communicate effectively is required to manage customer relationships, in addition to strong planning and organisation skills to deliver operational excellence and efficiency
- NEC contract type experience
- Financial awareness and ability to deliver targets, with a desire to continuously improve safety and sustainability performance
- Degree or Equivalent in Civil Engineering
