Here exists an exciting opportunity, for an experienced Project Manager to join a tier one contractor on a Nuclear decommissioning project. Your experience of Project management in a nuclear environment, as well as new build projects is sought after.
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a specific area of the project (to be determined based on experience), reporting to the Senior Project Manager.
Duties will include -
- Support the Senior Project Manager in development & monitoring of progress.
- Attendance at stakeholder meetings, supporting forward planning in readiness for project delivery.
- Attend walkdowns and working closely with the sub-contractors ensure enabling documentation is in place for projects to progress into the construction phase.
- Lead progress meetings with Sub-Contractors to monitor and discuss progress
- Attend Client progress meetings
- Awareness of CDM regs within the nuclear industry and implement on all construction tasks.
- Close liaison with the site delivery team Identify and manage specifically those areas that represent significant risk to the Project Work in a highly regulated environment Other duties as deemed necessary to facilitate successful Project delivery
Requirements for this position -
- Degree qualified or equivalent
- SC clearance, or the ability to gain SC clearance
- Knowledge of Project management in a Nuclear Environment and NEC3 contracts preferred
- APMQ and/or project delivery experience
- Prior experience on new build projects (traditional or modular)
- Strong client/stakeholder management skills
- Proven team working and people management skill
