Carmichael UK are seeking a project manager for the Hinkley Point C tunnelling project.
As PM you will have overall accountability for successful delivery of elements of the mining/tunnelling works, and temporary platform/services management relating to the construction of the Intake and Outfall tunnels at HPC. This includes for the initiation, planning, design coordination, delivery and handover/close out of the Tunnelling Works.
To provide management, leadership and inspires a multi-disciplinary team to achieve a common goal.
To determine the most appropriate means of satisfying customer/project requirements, objectives and constraints; time, cost, quality, scope, risk and benefits.
The Project Manager shall;
• Produce Programme of works, and detailed schedules.
• Assist the team to develop construction methodology, SSHEQ procedures, RAMS and ITP’s.
• Obtain suitable resources (Labour, Subcontractors, Plant and Materials) to execute the work.
• Assist the commercial team to develop forecast budgets and manage actual cost.
• Assess programme and productivity achieved and review weekly, acting where appropriate and reporting any changes.
• Ensure handover information is being produced in readiness for handover
About You:
- Able to demonstrate a track record of successful Project Management in large scale civil engineering projects.
- Good understanding of the standard forms of contracts
- Proficient in commercial/project management communications
- Experience in implementing safe systems of work
- Experience of working on Tunnelling project
- Formal qualification (BSc/MSc) in management/construction or experience equivalent
- APM PFQ/PMQ/PPQ
- CSCS and SMSTS or Equivalent
- TSTS & TEEP
45 hrs/week, Working 10-hour dayshift pattern Monday to Friday, at the site location HPC.
