A widely recognised Civil Engineering contractor are searching for a Project Manager to add to their team on a permanent basis.
Having been established for over 60 years, they have a long history of dealing with some of the most challenging projects across the UK within the Highways, Marine, Rail and Environmental sectors.
They require an experienced Project Manager with knowledge of Highways, S278/38 and Infrastructure to work on schemes throughout Cambridge, Northamptonshire and Peterborough.
Your duties:
- Assist estimating department with method, programme and construction methods when required
- Read and understand contract documents, drawings and specifications
- Carry out monitoring ad updating of construction programmes
- Enforce company policy on PPE with all operatives, subcontractors and visitors
- Liaise with clients/representatives in a professional manner
- Attending pre-start and site agent briefings to gain and understanding of project requirements
- Reporting any incidents to H&S department
Skills/Qualifications:
- Able to understand tender plant, labour, materials and subcontractor breakdown
- NVQ Level 5 in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
- CSCS black
- Able to produce programmes using Pertmaster or Microsoft Project
- First Aid
- Contractual knowledge of NEC, ICE and JCT
- Stable career history
