A civil engineering contractor who have been in operation for close to 50 years are searching for an experienced Project Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
Operating as a turnkey contractor, they have several arms of the business which includes civil engineering, utilities and a build division which allows them to work as a one-stop shop for their clients.
They require a Project Manager to oversee a new groundworks package in Central Essex on behalf of a well-known residential developer which is valued at £25m.
This package will involve heavy groundworks, drainage and associated S278/38 works, this project is expected to last for up to 3 years.
As a business they have a huge growth plan for the coming years and anyone who joins the business now does so during a period of growth, this will allow you to progress within the business as it evolves.
Some of your duties will include:
- Liaising with site teams to ensure time frames and deadlines are being met
- Keeping in regular contact with project QS to monitor project costs
- Maintaining a professional demeanor when liaising with clients or colleagues
- Regular progress meetings with Contracts Manager
- Ensure work is carried out to stringent company H&S guidelines
- Conduct toolbox talks
Qualifications required:
- HNC/D or Degree in Civil Engineering
- Engineering background
- Minimum of 5 years Project Management experience
- CSCS
- First Aid
- SMSTS
