An opportunity exists for a Project Quantity Surveyor, who is a British National, with a tier civil engineering contractor on a major MOD infrastructure scheme delivering critical marine and civil engineering works.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a technically challenging project involving marine construction, offshore piling and complex concrete structures.
The ideal candidate will possess previous experience within a civil engineering environment and be looking to further develop their commercial career on a nationally significant project.
Your duties will include -
- Day-to-day commercial administration of project works.
- Measurement and valuation of completed works.
- Preparation and management of subcontract packages.
- Cost tracking, forecasting and reporting.
- Assessment of variations and compensation events.
- Support monthly commercial reporting processes.
- Assist with final account preparation and agreement.
- Ensure compliance with project commercial procedures.
The requirements for this role include -
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar discipline.
- Previous Quantity Surveying experience within civil engineering.
- NEC contract knowledge and practical application.
- Experience working on infrastructure, marine, port, harbour, piling or reinforced concrete projects advantageous but not essential
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- British National.
- Experience on MOD, defence or secure projects advantageous but not essential.
- Membership or progression towards a relevant professional body.
