Carmichael UK are seeking a projects engineer to join a fast growing earthworks company in the Midlands and the South East on a premanent basis. 
The correct application MUST be confident with LSS and Trimble 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

Support the Site teams to allow them to deliver a successful project

Oversee all engineering issues on site, from tender handover to final project close out including but not limited to; •

  • Topographical surveys on site on a 10m x 10m grid point survey or as required 
  • Progress surveys on site on a 10m x 10m grid point survey or as required
  • Calibration of site surveying equipment.
  • Produce cut and fill models in LSS
  • Produce Machine control files and upload them to machine controlled plant
  • Carry out surveys of stockpiles, sub-formation, formation, top of stabilisation and top of stone.
  • Check the surveys are within the tolerances allowed and specified at tender
  • Produce Testing grids and isopachytes to control site testing and layer control

File Design, surveys and engineering files in line with GFC procedures

Assist the commercial team in pricing variations Client Liaison from tender stage, obtaining construction status information. Prepare the request for information and pursue the client until the information is received.

Be fully conversant in the use of LSS, Timble Business centre, Trimble earthworks, Total stations, site surveying, control and earthworks volumetrics. 

 

About You: 

  • Technical and management abilities
  • Organisational and management skills
  • Knowledge of the requirements of CDM regulations
  • Ability to produce Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Inspection and Test Plans
  • Knowledge of Safety, Quality and Environmental issues
  • Minimum of 5 years Experience in construction.

£50,000 + Package including car allowance and lodge (when required to be away from home
