A long term, inside IR35, opportunities exist for PTS Site Engineers on a major project on the outskirts of Manchester. Civil Site Engineers experienced in the refurbishment and extension of platforms, laying of new track, drainage, improving and upgrading of over and underpasses, demolition and construction of many bridges, improving embankments, electrification and signalling are sought after.
Regular duties will include
- Setting out of the works
- Producing and implementing method statements and work package plans
- Interpreting and implementing of the design
- Task briefs and management of the works and subbies
- Quality control in accordance to specifications
- Services checks (CAT and Genny)
- Compiling as-builts
- Ordering materials
- Recording progress
- Permit clearances
- Health and Safety compliance
Requirements:
- HND or Degree in Civil Engineering
- Solid experience gained working for a tier one or principal contractor on rail projects
- Competent in setting out and producing as-builts.
- Proven experience in a similar post
- Valid PTS
