CarmichaelUK is working with a Tier 1 contractor on the HS2 project and is seeking a Quality Engineer to join the team in Northamptonshire. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of one of the UK’s most prestigious infrastructure projects, ensuring quality standards are met across multiple work packages.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and implement the project’s quality management processes.

Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance with specifications, drawings, and industry standards.

Review and approve quality documentation, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and material approvals.

Support site teams with quality-related queries and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.

Liaise with the client, subcontractors, and design teams on quality issues.

Maintain accurate quality records and prepare detailed reports for project management.

Provide training and guidance on quality procedures to site teams.
About You:

HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

Previous experience in a Quality Engineer role within the civil engineering or infrastructure sector.

Working knowledge of quality management systems and procedures.
-
Experience on major infrastructure projects – HS2 experience advantageous.
-
Strong communication and organisational skills.
-
CSCS card holder.
