Carmichael are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join the team based in Barkley.

Work collaboratively with the delivery teams to plan for product realisation through Inspection and Test Plan work packages to ensure suitability for construction activities.

Understand and implement Quality, technical assurance and completion requirements to ensure ITP’s are in format and conform with client requirements and contain the correct document references.

Support and report upon the delivery of all section related construction phase quality, assurance and completions related activities to ensure the Quality Control is effectively implemented by the construction teams.

Develop and utilise relationships with Designer, Client representatives and internal stakeholders to ensure delivery of all ITP related requirements, including specific information passed to the construction delivery teams for inclusion within their work programmes.

Use relevant IT systems to oversee delivery of all quality and completions documentation and records.

Use relevant MS systems to manage progress of ITP between Designer and Client representatives.

Deliver Quality awareness sessions as part of a wider programme to the construction teams.

Communicate the benefits and knowledge of the Business Management System.

Carry out internal audits and other quality surveillance activities as required.

Working as an active member of the Assurance team to support delivery of a compliant project.

Encourage and promote the “Speak Up” and “Choices” initiatives.

About You

Key Skills and Qualifications:

    • Construction workface experience, preferably from an engineering background (engineer / section engineer).
    • Good IT skills (MS Office suite and information management systems).
    • Ability to work with construction teams to achieve QC/QA objectives but also to “call it out” when issues are encountered.
    • CSCS Card Holder (or affiliated scheme)
    • Full UK Driving License
    • Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities
    • Excellent communication and engagement skills
