Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Qualified Lead Auditor to ISO 9001:2008 or 2015
Experience Required
- Successful experience as a Quality Engineer in a variety of civil engineering projects
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of Quality Assurance in all matters relating to Quality both on the Project and in the wider corporate domain of the JV Partners.
- Assist the Head of Quality Assurance in the production of Project Reports both to the Client and to the JV Parent Companies.
- Assist the Construction teams in the production, review and maintenance of Inspection and Test Plans, ensuring that these ITPs are compliant with specification and general project requirements.
- Sample verification by observation, inspections, checks and tests that the works are being constructed in accordance with the specification and project requirements.
- Review of certification record packages against the defined requirements of the Works Information, specification and ITPs.
- Ensure that comments generated against construction records (ITPs or WRPs) by internal reviewers, the Client or interested 3rd Parties are distributed and closed out by the Production teams.
- Maintenance of registers associated with the Quality Assurance process.
- Maintenance of the Project "Right First Time" and "Quality Performance" scoring systems on behalf of the Head of Quality & Assurance
- Run on behalf of the Head of Quality Assurance effective Quality Meetings with both the production teams and subcontractors
- Instigate and maintain the use of weekly Quality Tours ensuring that actions are recorded and closed out in a timely manner
- Track and expedite the production of OMMs, H&S File and as-built drawings from subcontractors , venders and the production teams in conjunction with the project Document Controllers .
- Carrying out planned or targeted surveillance activities of works and processes as directed by the Head of Quality Assurance.
- Ensuring that items of non-conformity are identified, recorded and closed out using approved methods in accordance with the project requirements.
- Carry out or assist with audits in accordance with the audit programme on the project departments, sections and subcontractors/suppliers ensuring that audit findings of corrective and preventative action can be verified and subsequently closed out.
