CarmichaelUK are looking to recruit a Quality Assurance Engineer on a permanent basis for one of our key clients operating in the civils & infrastructure sector. Our client is a well-known and long-standing company with a strong reputation for delivering large and small-scale infrastructure work to the highest standard of quality and health & safety. Based out of an office in Hertfordshire, you will be required to travel between sites on a regular basis
Coming off the back of a strong 2020, our client has the capacity to bring on an extra Quality Assurance Engineer to support the numerous live projects that the client has running across rail, civils and infrastructure. Overseeing multiple projects, rather than being assigned to a single project you will be expected to ensure the highest quality standards are met, as well as contributing to the streamlining and progression of the quality process as a whole.
Reporting to an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring all released documents are produced to program and are compliant and accurate
- Developing relationships with site teams, client representatives and internal stakeholders to develop assurance that QA requirements are being met
- Preparation of O&M manuals
- Reviewing construction records for completeness and accuracy
- Providing support and advice to project staff on assurance issues and controls
- Planning preventative maintenance
We are looking for someone who has:
- An HNC or higher in civil engineering or related subject
- A valid CSCS card
- Previous quality assurance experience either through engineering or a QA role
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- A drive to improve both the systems and processes around you
- The ability to build relationships quickly
