CarmichaelUK are seeking an quality engineer to join a tier 1 contractor on the Sellafield project in Cumbria on a long term basis.
As quality engineer you will be involved in helping build a plant that will help with the nuclear waste clean up programme.
The Role:
- Project Quality Engineer reporting to the Quality Manager and supporting the Site QA/QC Lead.
- To review, and endorsed as appropriate, Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans; undertaking associated compliance verification activities as appropriate.
- Understand and implement the processes necessary for the provision of timely appropriate Quality support to other Delivery Team departments.
- Conduct Quality audits of the site activities and sub-contractor operations on site, and off site as directed, in accordance with the Project Audit Schedule.
- Ensure the quality standards of the Project are consistently met, raising the authorised project documentation where this is not the case.
About You:
- Sellafield/Nuclear experience working in a QA function or QC function with development into QA via lead audit and CQI membership#
- Oversight of subcontractors, compilation and review of lifetime records
- Understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems and Sellafield CQRM.
- Maintenance of package status & progress reporting, raising issues and
- liaising with the project and client QA/QC team
- ISO 9001 Lead auditor
- CQI membership
You must hold full UK right to work with British National or Settled Status to be able to achieve correct security clearance for this role.
Rate is Inside IR35 paid PAYE through an umbrella company
