CarmichaelUK are looking to recruit a Quality Assurance Engineer operating in the civils & infrastructure sector. Our client is a well-known and long-standing company with a strong reputation for delivering large and small-scale infrastructure work to the highest standard of quality and health & safety.
You will support the numerous live projects that the client has running across rail, civils and infrastructure. Overseeing multiple projects, rather than being assigned to a single project you will be expected to ensure the highest quality standards are met, as well as contributing to the streamlining and progression of the quality process as a whole.
Reporting to an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring all released documents are produced to program and are compliant and accurate
- Developing relationships with site teams, client representatives and internal stakeholders to develop assurance that QA requirements are being met
- Preparation of O&M manuals
- Reviewing construction records for completeness and accuracy
- Providing support and advice to project staff on assurance issues and controls
- Planning preventative maintenance
We are looking for someone who has:
- An HNC or higher in civil engineering or related subject
- A valid CSCS card
- Previous quality assurance experience either through engineering or a QA role
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- A drive to improve both the systems and processes around you
- The ability to build relationships quickly
