Carmichael UK is currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a Tier 1 contractor delivering a major highways project in Norfolk. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a high-profile infrastructure scheme within a fast-paced site environment.
The successful candidate will play an active role in the delivery of works on site, ensuring quality standards are maintained across all phases of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and maintaining quality assurance processes across site operations
- Conducting inspections, audits, and ensuring compliance with project specifications
- Reviewing ITPs, NCRs, and handover documentation
- Working closely with site teams to support the successful delivery of works
- Ensuring all works are completed in line with health, safety, and quality standards
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Quality Engineer within highways or motorway projects
- Strong experience with highways drainage and piling works – essential
- Broad understanding of highways construction activities and quality processes
- Ability to work in an active site environment as part of the delivery team
- Good level of fitness due to the hands-on nature of the role
- SMSTS certification required
- Valid CSCS card essential
