Carmichael are looking for a Quality Manager to join a major project in Northampton to lead the quality assurance across the package of steel works.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and implement ownership of Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and their Checklists ensuring compliance throughout the site installation phases and Inspection of materials on delivery to site.
- Work collaboratively with the delivery teams to plan for Installation through Inspection and Test Plans and work packages to ensure suitability for construction activities.
- Understand and implement Quality, Assurance and Completion requirements to ensure ITP’s conform to Client’s requirements and contain the correct document references.
- Support the delivery of all assets, construction phase quality, assurance and completions related activities to ensure records are compiled to support the timely handover of project assets.
- Develop and utilise relationships with internal stakeholders to deliver related aspects of quality and assurance, ensuring where required, specific information is passed to the construction delivery teams for inclusion in their work programmes.
- Use relevant IT systems to manage relevant quality and completions documentation and records.
- Awareness of a non-conformance and product defect process, including root cause analysis.
About you:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an installation or Quality during construction role, steel bridgework environment would be preferable.
- Welding Coordination IWS, IWT or IWE
- CSCS Card Holder (or affiliated scheme)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities
- Excellent communication and engagement skills
- Familiar with DFMA practices (Design for manufacture & assembly)
- Knowledge and experience in bridgework fabrication and welding activities
Salary: Up to £60,000 + Package
